SOME RECENT DOCUMENTS PRODUCED BY BIRW ON THE CASE OF MURDERED BELFAST SOLICITOR PATRICK FINUCANE ARE PROVIDED BELOW.
Belfast solicitor, Patrick Finucane, was murdered by loyalist gunmen in his home on 12 February 1989. Since then, the Finucane family, BIRW and many other individuals and organisations have campaigned to ensure that all persons involved in this murder are held to account. Over the years, significant evidence of state collusion in the killing has been uncovered and pressure has mounted for a full, independent public inquiry.
